Sekhukhuneland is geographically a very big congregation comprising of 18 branches (wards). The Financial Administration Commission of this congregation has a great task of ensuring that levies a properly calculated and paid to the presbytery and the synod, budgeting, auditing, Synodical collections, salaries, services and member contributions are administered in a profound manner

The Financial Administration Commission renders financial stewardship as contemplated in the following verses of the Good Book

Deuteronomy 16:17 - Every man [shall give] as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.

2 Corinthians 9:7 - Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Luke 6:38 - Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Hebrews 7:5-9 - And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:   (Read More...)

Malachi 3:10 - Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].

Being the  live wire of the congregation, the Financial Administration Commission bears the following responsibility :

  • Financial management
  • Budgeting by all ministries and committees
  • Supervising fund collection and appropriation
  • Reporting to congregation on how funds are spent
  • Controlling and monitoring raising
  • Conducting workshops to fund collectors at ward and committee levels
  • Audit financial book annually
  • Paying for services rendered in the church
  • Settle essential bills monthly
  • Up keeping the ministers livelihood
  • It meets monthly to check the income and expenditure of the month.

As all funds for different Ministries, viz. CMM,CYM,CWM,CWL and CHURCH are kept is a trust account; it is the responsibility of this Commission to ensure that each Ministry’s finances are properly managed and reporting is done without any form of prejudice.
